Culinary Cabaret co-host and former Franklinite David Handy is founder and principal designer for David M. Handy Events located on Nantucket and in Boston. With Donald Dallaire, the duo creates inspired celebrations and unique events synonymous with their innovative style and elegant design.
Author, event designer and entertaining expert, Boston native Hilary Pereira introduces her Splash Mixers – premium, all-natural and low-calorie mixers that simplify the art of making the perfect cocktail!
Culinary Cabaret showcases exceptional chefs and restaurants to present an innovative evening of inspired appetizers dishes and desserts.
Pour Richard's Wine and Spirits will pair restaurant and specialty shop stations with representatives from vineyards and distributors, who will pour wines specifically chosen to compliment the chef-prepared specialties. Reflecting Pour Richard's "Never Drink Ordinary" motto, beverages will feature small producers, high quality and eclectic selection.
Craft beer selections feature Worcester-based Wormtown Brewery's perfectly balanced Bottle Rocket Pale Ale and their Punxsutawney Pilsner brewed with four malts including Valley wheat and a blend of German and American hops.
We welcome Charlie Tower, aka Old Man Whisk(e)y, the National Scotch and American Whisky Ambassador for The Espiritus Group. He will be pouring whiskies from the Lost Distillery Project, which seeks to recreate malts that have vanished, decades or centuries ago. These are exquisite, handcrafted malt whiskies from Scotland, some in the 25+ year range. Charlie will also lead us all in the legendary Highland Toast!
Jay Needleman, representing Privateer Rum, True American rum distilled only 73 miles away in Ipswich, MA, will pour samples of their award-winning Silver and Amber rums, as well as a craft cocktail specially created for Culinary Cabaret.
A sneak peak at the menu:
Beck’s Bistro Catering will serve Cajun shrimp over sweet potato grits with maple bourbon reduction.
Tavolino, a Culinary Cabaret founding partner, will prepare pan-seared duck with sweet cherry tapenade over wild mushroom risotto.
3 Restaurant will treat guests to a rigatoni Bolognese of braised veal, beef and pork with house-made tomato sauce.
Raven’s Vine and Tap will present a flavorful charcuterie and cheese display.
The Curry House will feature chicken tikka masala, naan and samosas
Featuring entertainment by Electric Youth and special guest artists of the Franklin Performing Arts Company. Culinary Cabaret supports Electric Youth’s 2017 European tour and EY's mission to give back through musical performance, education and ambassadorship.
