"Tributary" is a collective of musicians from around the US dedicated to performing spiritually rich and honest music that is thoughtful, creative and improvisatory.
Trumpeter and Composer Adam Meckler is an Edwards Instrument Co. performing artist and clinician. He leads several bands including The Adam Meckler Orchestra, an 18 piece big band that performs all of his original music. AMO's debut album 'When the Clouds Look Like This' was listed among 2014's Best Jazz Releases on iTunes.
Minneapolis based saxophonist and composer Aaron Hedenstrom has performed across the United States as a jazz saxophonist, clinician, and composer. Some of his collaborations have included saxophonist Bob Reynolds, the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band, vocalist Marlene Verplanck, vocalist Don Most and indie artist S. Carey. Aaron is a Keilwerth Saxophone Artist.
Brian Courage is a bassist and composer from New York City who has performed around the country with nationally acclaimed artists including Lew Tabackin, David Hazeltine, Michael Lewis, Walter Smith III, Greg Ward, and Russ Johnson.
Derek Dreier is an eclectic musician and educator versed in a variety of musical traditions. He is a member of Des Moines’ Synergy Nonet and regular with the Omaha and Des Moines symphonies as both a classical percussionist and drum set player. He tours annually with International Steinway Artist Jim McDonough and previously participated in a national tour with Chicago’s Close to You: The Music of the Carpenters. His playing has been described as “naturally raw and vulnerable, demanding attention and connection."
Greg Woodsbie is a self described "ritual artist" whose background in jazz, classical, and Cuban music permeates his work as a highly regarded dance accompanist and church musician in the Boston/Providence area.
An international dancer and master teacher of the Horton Technique, Kristina Berger is a Principal Dancer with The Erick Hawkins Dance Company, a soloist of original Lester Horton work under Don Martin, and a creator and performer on her own. From Circus Showgirl to first female to perform Hanuman The Monkey King in Bali, the adventures are endless!
